Mckenzie`s Burger Garage in Lawton

Came here 2 years ago after delivering to Lawton. I'm back in Lawton today 03-04-20 2:12 p.m. And the food and service is still 100% perfect. Absolutely zero complaints. I brag and let everyone I know in Texas to stop here if they ever get a chance it's that good. Not to mention props to the owner. 2 years ago I saw him busting his butt cooking and today he is still back there cooking. Very hard working man. This place to me needs to be on the map.

Great food & nice inside. Old cars & old school phone booth. Great place to take some pics. Burgers will fill you up & fried pickles & fried mushrooms are great.

Dood. One of the messiest most delicious burgers I've ever had. So friggin good. Fries were awesome too. Building is wide open with plenty of seating and a cool atmosphere. The people were nice. Really wanted to try their ice cream, but I was so full from the 8oz burger and fries :) for sure gotta check this place out.

Best burger joint in town hands down

I walked in saying I messed up my own order, those were my words. The lady at the front was more then kind and said no problem at all. She went and told a man who then starts CHARGING AT THE DESK YELLING ABOUT HOW HE TOOK THE ORDER. I am not exaggerating, I understand it’s part of the theme to be a lil responsive. This does not validate this behavior at all. He then says I can switch the burgers! He offered, I never asked. Then takes the lady over to the side to tell her I can’t do that! How professional!! How cowardly!!! I’m 130 pounds from my Crohn’s disease but maybe I’m more intimidating then I thought. I was willing to pay for the burger from the start. I wish the best for the lady there!Gotta go my burgers ready!

Delicious backyard-style burgers all come on gluten-free buns that a number of customers actually special order for parties and personal use. Fries are delicious, as are the milkshakes.

LOVE THIS PLACE!! SO FAST AND JUST MUTHAFU$%+ GOOD HEHE. THE CALI BURGER IS MY FAV WITH BACON CHEESE FRIES. YUUUMTHE OWNER IS ALWAYS ENGAGING WITH GUEST AND THE CHICK THAT RUNS THE REGISTER IS SO LEGIT HEHE.... HEY GIRR!

The food, is good and the one employee who served us was friendly. I don't give any establishment 5 stars. Because there's always something wrong. Nobody or any business is prefect. Don't tip the staff, I'm pretty sure the owner keeps it. They may use it toward the employee's lunch or something, but they definitely do not receive tips.

My other one got removed for some reason, but long story short angry man charged the counter after I already said I would pay for food. Then the man offers me to trade my sandwich for the one I was going to purchase. I gladly accept, just for him to pull the girl to the side to tell her to charge me?? The “man” then sits in the back of the kitchen so I couldn’t call him out. Food was decent at best. The lady at the front was lovely. The man made the entire family never want to return.

Great service but the burger was cold.

Love this place. Everything is homemade. From the burger patties to the buns. They have a good selection of different types of burgers. Their burgers are really good size and makes you full. The set up inside is cool. There's 2 cars in there. A dragster and a classic. There's also a store front with home decor when you first walk in. The owner comes out and greets customers and is very friendly. The wait times aren't too bad. Anytime I've been, I've received my food in a timely fashion. All around a good atmosphere and great food. I recommend McKenzie's for anyone looking for a good burger.

What a great atmosphere. Loved the decor and looking at all the oldie stuff. It brings you back in good times. Also the food was very good. No one at our table left still hungry. And one of the employees came from the kitchen to interact with the kids in the restaurant at the time. Giving them all necklaces.

Les is a super friendly guy, and you won't be disappointed by choosing his burger joint. From the friendly faces, to the great food and racing nostalgia, you can't go wrong.

Wow. The atmosphere is so awesome. Its super clean for eating in a 'garage'. The owner goes out of his way to serve you. There is also a small gift shop when you walk through the door. On Friday's at 7:00pm it movie night with FREE popcorn

Would have given 5 stars but the funnel cake machine was down so I didnt get to try it.Ketchup was perfect. Tasted homemade.Fries were very nicely made. Cant find a whole lot of places that make them like they do anymore.8 oz burger will definitely challenge your stomachs ability to finish it all.

This place has a good homey feel to it, and the food is pretty good as well. Most of the food is fried food or burgers so don't expect anything super light. I've had 2 different burgers here, and while I won't say they are anything to write home about, they haven't been upsetting.This place is really about the charm and decor more than the food. If you're looking for an amazing burger, go to Burger joint. But if you want a fun time and a change of pace, try this place out.

Doesnt dissapoint!

The food was excellent, as was the service. The price was comparable to fast food but much better quality. My kids enjoyed looking at the memorabilia and the items in the gift shop. We will definitely come again.

What a fun restaurant! Highly recommended by a friend, I check this place out while in Ardmore, and couldn't be happier about our visit. The food was really good and the staff and owner were very thoughtful.You can tell a lot of love went into this place, there are fun trinkets everywhere and a lot of opportunity for a conversation and photo ops and making good memories.The least overwhelming part of the visit was the restroom which isn't anything special but also wasn't gross or dirty at all. Just outdated and missing a door on the men's side anyway.My favorite part was the milkshakes, both the vanilla and the vanilla and peanut butter are excellent. Burgers were on point too.Absolutely fantastic and I would even drive an hour and a half from OKC just to show another friend this place.

Got a bacon cheese burger and fries. It was very good. If I lived in lawton I would return.

Les McKenzie's burger shop is hands down the best burgers in town. His shop is clean and a totally awesome place to set at and enjoy a burger. Go try it for yourself..... You won't regret it. Look for the special, he's always got something good going.

Burgers are really good, i tried the green chilly burger and the pizza burger they really good the only thing i didn't like it was the cheese fries the cheese dont even melt i semd them back s they can melt the cheese alil bit more but it look the same idk if the cheese is really cheap but it doesn't melt at all they could use nacho cheese better but service was great

First time eating at McKenzie's The decor was cool the fries were awesome my hunny's hotdogs was huge! He liked it. I had the mushroom and swiss burger. It was ok good. I just assumed the beef patties were hand patted not the preformed ones.. that was my ONLY dislike. The owner I believe he was very friendly.

Stopped here while traveling. Really good food and a must see if your into drag racing. They also have a small shop inside to pick up some unique stuff.

Outstanding service and a really cool atmosphere (retro dragster..?) and they served up a delicious burger & onion rings. What else can you ask for in a burger restaurant!

Usually good place to go and customer service top notch walk in 6:40pm don't close till 7pm I was told by lady were closed so I looked at owner at counter and he stated we close grill down 15 minutes till still had 5 minutes to go but was turned away service is service lost my business. I won't be back or my family we were regular customers.It was totally rude of the owner It's just business right turn lights out lock doors turn off sign at 630pm if you need to be gone by 7pm?

I gotta say, you aint had a burger until you've had a McKenzie's burger! DELICIOUS!
